This series is called “Academic English for University Students” and is designed for elementary language learners or students with A2 English proficiency levels. The writer was inspired to provide the materials that are relevant for university students after teaching students in the Civics Education Department. Their active participation and eagerness to learn English represent many freshmen and it should be supported through high-quality materials that are not only relevant but also effective in enhancing their educational journey at university. As beginners in their first year of a new endeavor, basic skills in English such as self-introduction, presentation, reading, listening, writing and speaking should be practiced consistently.
